Collagenase SANTYL® Ointment Now Available in 30-gram Tubes

In February 2010, Healthpoint announced that 30-gram tubes of Collagenase SANTYL® Ointment would once again be available to pharmacies nationwide. Healthcare providers can prescribe either 15-gram or 30-gram tubes of SANTYL® Ointment for their patients.

Healthpoint is pleased to announce that 30-gram tubes of Collagenase SANTYL® Ointment will once again be available to pharmacies nationwide on or about February 15, 2010.

Healthpoint understands that many prescribers who prefer the 30-gram size have been awaiting its return. We are grateful for the patience these prescribers have shown while we increased manufacturing capacity for SANTYL® Ointment to satisfy the surge in demand following the removal of papain-based debriding agents from the market. Our improvements are now complete, and, beginning February 15, healthcare providers may select 15-gram or 30-gram tubes of SANTYL® Ointment for their patients as appropriate.

Healthcare professionals are encouraged to prescribe SANTYL® Ointment in 30-gram increments for patients with wounds requiring more than 15-grams for treatment.
